Private Health Insurance Finder

Privacy policy

Last updated 25 October 2026

Iaso is a free private health insurance finder made by Jon at Intrinsic Ninja. This page explains what information Iaso collects when you use it, why, and who it goes to. Iaso has no accounts, and it never asks for your name, your email address or anything about your health.

What Iaso collects

Google Analytics

Iaso uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which parts of the site people use, so it can be improved. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and collects:

Google processes this information on its own servers, which may be outside Australia. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. To stop it, block cookies for this site in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Tips (Stripe)

If you leave a tip, you pay on a checkout page run by Stripe. Stripe asks for your card details and email address, and Iaso never sees or stores your card details. Stripe handles your information under Stripe’s privacy policy, and Iaso can see each payment, including the email address you gave, in its Stripe account. Iaso’s own database keeps only the Stripe session ID, the amount, the currency, whether it was paid, and the time.

The request form

The request form sends what you type to Iaso by email, along with any Find Your Cover choices you came from. It doesn’t ask for your name or email address. Please don’t include health or other personal information. If you add contact details so we can reply, we use them only to reply.

Your browser’s storage

Iaso saves your light or dark theme choice and your recent searches in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and are never sent to Iaso. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them.

Server logs

Like most websites, Iaso’s web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, the page requested and the time) for security and troubleshooting.
